I suggest that the Council members who voted for the drive-through for the establishment on West Streetsboro Street take a look at the trash on the corners of Milford Road and state Route 303. Perhaps Council can pass an ordinance requiring all "take-out" facilities to label their paper and plastic containers, utensils and napkins so the public can see the amount of litter they create. The businesses should then be required to take back their trash by refunding a nominal amount (5, 10 or 25 cents) for each piece. In this way, the user might think twice about discarding the trash; the discarded trash may be picked up and cashed in by others; and the facility would take some responsibility and cost to decrease their negative impact on this fair city.
