Hudson native

hired by NFL team

The Kansas City Chiefs recently hired Hudson native Trip MacCracken as the team’s Director of Football Administration.

MacCracken arrives in Kansas City after spending 11 seasons with Cleveland (1999-2009), where his duties included contract negotiations, as well as other responsibilities in football operations.

During his tenure with the Browns, he served as Legal Counsel (2009), Director of Football Administration (2006-08), Salary Cap Coordinator (2001, 2003-05) and Salary Cap Administrator (1999-2000, 2002).

Prior to joining the Browns, MacCracken served an internship at the NFL Management Council in 1998.

He earned a degree from the Duke University School of Law in 1999 after graduating Cum Laude from Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. in 1996.

During the fall of 1994, MacCracken interned at the White House and worked for the Washington Redskins on game days. 

MacCracken captained the football and baseball teams as a prep at Hawken School in Gates Mills.

 

Wrestling scheduled

for March 13

The Ohio State Girls Wrestling Tournament is scheduled to take place March 13 in Mantua. Wrestling is set to begin at 10 a.m.

The event will feature Crestwood senior Paige Nemec, who finished 1-2 at 103 pounds during the Division II state meet, which concluded March 6 at Value City Arena in Columbus. Nemec won the Ohio State Girls Wrestling Tournament last year.
