W. R. "Bob" Dillon, of Hudson, died March 1, 2010, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Dillon served in the 95th Division of the Army during World War II in reconnaissance. He was a graduate of Rocky River High School and Baldwin Wallace and sold steel for a Youngstown firm until his retirement. He refereed for Youth Hockey and was a sailing instructor for Western Reserve Academy. His interest in photography led to his establishing Robert's Custom Framing Gallery in Hudson. A longtime resident of Hudson, he enjoyed his many Hudson coffee friends, especially Hub.

Sailing in the Caribbean and skiing with his sons were favorite vacations of his. His most memorable trip was a cruise down the Rhine and Danube rivers where he served during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Ginny; sons, Rob and David; two grandchildren, Lennon and Wade; and stepchildren, David (Tara) Lee and Jennifer (James) Huffman.

At his request there will be no calling hours, and a private family service has been planned. Redmon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
