Hudson -- A 63-year-old Hudson man who texted a co-worker that he was going to kill himself was taken into custody by Hudson police as he was leaving his residence. According to a police spokesperson, the man was reportedly cooperative but intoxicated when he was apprehended at 5:35 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital for a psychological evaluation. The police report indicated ammunition and three weapons -- a rifle, a shotgun and a handgun -- were removed from his residence. Feb. 28. Hudson female arrested: A 21-year-old Hudson woman was arrested and charged with speeding, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and having a blood alcohol content of .17, over the legal limit of .10 According to the police report, the woman was driving 57 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone at 3:34 a.m. on Route 91 at Middleton Road.. She failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Hudson Police Department, where she was later released on a personal recognizance bond. Her vehicle was towed. Feb. 28. Stow man charged: A 22-year-old Stow man was arrested and charged with speeding, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and having a blood alcohol content of .110, over the legal limit of .10, on Route 91 at Stoney Hill Road at 2:25 a.m. According to the police report, the man failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Hudson Police Department. His vehicle was towed. He was later released on a personal recognizance bond. Feb. 23. Intoxicated driver stopped: A 26-year-old Hudson man was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, having a blood alcohol content of .158, over the legal limit of .10, and driving left of center on Barlow Road at 2:39 a.m. According to the police report, the man failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Hudson Police Department. Feb. 23. Man receives menacing phone call: A Hudson man said he received a threatening phone call from a stranger at 4:32 p.m. According to a police spokesperson, the caller, who reportedly had slurred speech, said the man he was calling he had better leave town or he only had 24 hours to live. An investigation is pending. Feb. 23. Couple being harassed: A Hudson husband and wife said they were receiving harassing phone calls from a former acquaintance. An investigation is pending. Discharging a firearm Feb. 24. Woman hears shots: A Ravenna Street resident said she was in her barn when she heard five gun shots coming from behind her property at 11 a.m. According to a police spokesperson, investigating officers could not determine where the gun shots originated. No gunfire was heard while officers were on the premises. Theft Feb. 27. Teen apprehended: A 16-year-old Hudson boy was apprehended by security officers at a store on West Streetsboro Street at 7:55 p.m. According to the report, security observed the youth consuming bakery items then leaving the store without paying for them. A drug pipe was found in his possession. The boy was released to his father's custody and his case was referred to the police's juvenile division. Bindover Man indicted on drug charges: A 22-year-old Hudson man was indicted in Summit County Court of Common Pleas Feb. 23 on two counts of possession of drugs, fifth-degree felonies. The man was arrested by the Hudson Police Jan. 3 on Port Chester Drive after an officer noted suspicious behavior of the subject who was sitting is his vehicle with the dome light on. According to the police report, the suspect was in possession of two drugs -- oxycodone and xanax. His vehicle was towed.
