Chapel hosts 'Breakout' for children "Breakout" for children in grades four and five and their friends will be at Hudson Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro St., March 5 from 7 to 10 p.m. Activities include karaoke, Wacky Hair Salon, Lazer Tag, Nerf Dart Wars, inflatables and many others. Mozart celebration slated for March 12 Apollo's Fire, the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra, will present its Mozart Celebration March 12 at 8 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 263 E. Mill St. in Akron. Internationally acclaimed pianist Sergei Babayan will make his period instrument debut, playing on a 19th-century Blüthner piano in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24 in c minor, K. 491. Workshops study St. Mary Catholic Church in Hudson will host two workshops titled "The Blessed Mother: Views from Scripture and Many Cultures," March 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Presented by the Rev. Francois Rossier, executive director of the Marian Library/International Marian Research Institute at the University of Dayton, the afternoon workshop will explore recent studies of Mary in scripture. The evening presentation will illustrate different cultural perceptions of Mary and showcase artifacts in the Marian Library collection, including statutes, artwork and embroideries from all over the world. Women's conference planned for March 20 Grace Presbyterian Church will offer its 2010 Women's Conference March 20 at Sheraton Suites, 1989 Front St. in Cuyahoga Falls. The event will feature speaker Susan Hunt, an author, mother of three and grandmother of 12 who has served as director of Women In Church (WIC) for the Presbyterian Church in America. Registration begins at 8 a.m. March 20, and the event runs until 3 p.m. The cost is $50 per person, which includes continental breakfast and lunch. HUMNS offers half-day classes for children ages St. Mary sponsors Lenten dinners The Men's Club of St. Mary Church will sponsor its Lenten Seafood Dinners for the 25th year on Fridays through March 26. The dinners are open to the public and attracts people from all over the Greater Cleveland/Akron/Canton area. The dinners are served in the lower hall of St. Mary Church, 340 North Main St. in Hudson. Doors open at 5 p.m.; the last order is taken at 7:30 p.m. Patrons may dine in or carry out.
