New court hours set for paying traffic fines

The Criminal-Traffic Division of the Stow Municipal Court Clerks Office will close to the public one hour earlier on weekdays, beginning April 5, when the hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Until then, the hours will continue to be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

According to Clerk of Courts Lisa Zeno Carano, the public can conduct criminal-traffic related business during these hours. This includes waivers of traffic violations, payment plan transactions and posting bonds on warrants.

Waiverable tickets can be paid by credit card over the phone by calling 330-564-4110 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. When making payments by mail, please include the payment by check or money order along with the copy of the ticket to: Stow Municipal Court, c/o Criminal/Traffic Clerk, 4400 Courthouse Blvd., Stow 44224.

The change in hours impacts the Criminal-Traffic Division only.

The public hours of the clerk's Civil-Small Claims Division will remain from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Clerk of Courts Office of the Stow Municipal Court serves the following communities: Boston Heights, Boston Township, Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Macedonia, Munroe Falls, Northfield, Northfield Center Township, Peninsula, Reminderville, Sagamore Hills Township, Silver Lake, Stow, Tallmadge, Twinsburg and Twinsburg Township.
