Learn to The community is invited to discover God's principles for financial freedom in Master Your Money, a six-week course that will meet on Sundays, Feb. 28, March 7, 21 and 28, and April 11 and 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Hudson United Methodist Church, 2600 Hudson Aurora-Road. Ken Kerns will lead this video-based course, developed by Ron Blue, a Christian financial planner in Atlanta. Each week includes a 45-minute video presentation by Blue, discussion of the video and use of the workbook to create a step-by-step financial plan. Topics include: "How Much Is Enough?," "Putting the Magic of Compounding to Work," "Planning for Your Financial Future," "Finding Money You Never Knew You Had," "Managing Your Cash Flow," and "Don't Miss the Miracle." Provide names of participants, address, phone number, e-mail address and if an optional textbook is desired. A required workbook is $5 per household. The optional textbook is $10. Fees are due at the first class. Pancake breakfast supports mission The Hudson Presbyterian Church, 201 W. Streetsboro St., will host an annual pancake breakfast March 7 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. This is a fundraiser for the youth group's summer mission trip to Queens, N.Y., through the Youth Works Organization. The goal of the trip is to partner with local organizations and programs that seek to address the very basic needs of Queens residents and provide the youth with a diverse experience in which to serve. St. Mary offers The Men's Club of St. Mary Church will sponsor its Lenten Seafood Dinners for the 25th year. The Friday dinners will continue until March 26. The dinners are open to the public and attracts people from all over the Greater Cleveland/Akron/Canton area. The dinners are served in the lower hall of St. Mary Church, 340 North Main St. in Hudson. Doors open at 5 p.m.; the last order is taken at 7:30 p.m. Patrons may dine in or carry out. The menu features 21 different selections, including some offerings for children and healthy options like grilled/baked salmon, rice and vegetables. In addition to the regular menu items, new to the menu is lobster ravioli with a bisque sauce and a lobster bisque soup with sherry. Chapel hosts "Breakout" for children in grades four and five and their friends will be at Hudson Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro St., March 5 from 7 to 10 p.m. Activities include karaoke, Wacky Hair Salon, Lazer Tag, Nerf Dart Wars, inflatables and many others. Women's conference planned for March 20 Grace Presbyterian Church will offer its 2010 Women's Conference March 20 at Sheraton Suites, 1989 Front St. in Cuyahoga Falls. The event will feature speaker Susan Hunt, an author, mother of three and grandmother of 12 who has served as director of Women in Church for the Presbyterian Church in America. Hunt is the author of numerous books, including "Heirs of the Covenant" and "Your Home -- A Place of Grace." Registration begins at 8 a.m. March 20, and the event runs until 3 p.m. The cost is $50 per person, which includes continental breakfast and lunch.
