JAMES MONROE DILL U.S. Army veteran

James Monroe Dill, 91, of Hudson, died Feb. 16, 2010, at Crown Center at Laurel Lake in Hudson.

He was born in Chicago on March 1, 1918, the son of James Monroe Dill and Florence Demarest Dill. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Dill, and sister, Jane Witt. He is survived by his wife, Deborah B. (nee Brandt) Dill; sons, Jim (Sheilagh Casey) Dill III of Rumson, N.J., and Thomas M. Dill of Springfield, Va.; granddaughter, Anne M. Dill; and three nieces.

Arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home in Hudson.

A memorial service was Feb. 19 at Christ Church Episcopal. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
