Five hopefuls have filed to run in the May 4 primary election for the U.S. House of Representative's 14th Congressional District. According to the Lake County Board of Elections, incumbent Steven LaTourette (R-Bainbridge) has filed to run for the seat, as well as Dale Blanchard (D-Solon), John H. Greene (D-Pierpont), Bill O'Neill (D-Chagrin Falls) and Libertarian candidate John M. Jelenik of Willoughby. Ohio's 14th Congressional District is located in Northeast Ohio and includes the Cleveland-Akron area. The seven-county district includes all of Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties, and portions of Cuyahoga, Summit, Portage and Trumbull counties.
