Five hopefuls have filed to run in the May 4 primary election for the U.S. House of Representative's 14th Congressional District.
According to the Lake County Board of Elections, incumbent Steven LaTourette (R-Bainbridge) has filed to run for the seat, as well as Dale Blanchard (D-Solon), John H. Greene (D-Pierpont), Bill O'Neill (D-Chagrin Falls) and Libertarian candidate John M. Jelenik of Willoughby.
Ohio's 14th Congressional District is located in Northeast Ohio and includes the Cleveland-Akron area. The seven-county district includes all of Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties, and portions of Cuyahoga, Summit, Portage and Trumbull counties. All told, there are 22 cities, 34 villages and 63 townships in the 14th district.
