Lutie Mae (Smith) Burrell, 91, of Stow died Feb. 13, 2010, at Gardens of the Western Reserve in Cuyahoga Falls.

She was a member of St. Mary Church for more than 50 years and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and their poker club. She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of the Stow Scrabble Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Burrell; parents Park Joseph Smith and Ruth (Flannagan) Burrell; four brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her six daughters, Dorothy Jean (Willie) Brinkmeyer of Taylor, Texas, Elizabeth A. (Steve) Serio of Centreville, Va., Jeanette G.(Michael) O'Flanagan of Peninsula, Patricia L. (Lenny) Seni of Stow, Deborah J. (Randy) Scott of Rootstown and Ruth J. (Dwight) Grate of Stow; five sons, William "Larry" (Nancy) Burrell of Canton, James P. (Janet) Burrell of Slidell, La., Dennis A. (Linda) Burrell of Monroeville, Pa., Jere Smith (Theresa) Burrell of Cuyahoga Falls and Richard J. (Cheryl) Burrell of Akron, Ohio; five sisters, Ruth Ambrose, Dorothy Moore, Rita Moore, Roseann Mauer and Jane Thomas; three brothers, Jim Smith, Dick Smith and Tom Smith; 27 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 19 E. Main St. in Hudson, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 17. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary Church at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 18, with the Rev. Edward Kordas, celebrant. Interment will be at Markillie Cemetery in Hudson.
