from staff reports Hudson City Council member Kristina Roegner has filed to run for the District 42 seat in the Ohio House of Representatives in the 2010 election. Roegner said she would comment on her decision to run later this week when she officially announces her campaign. Roegner was the only candidate who had officially filed for the District 42 race as of Feb. 11, according to the board of elections. The deadline to file for the May 4 primary is Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. District 42 Rep. Mike Moran (D-Hudson) has announced he will run for a second term, but had not filed as of Feb. 11, according to the Summit County Board of Elections. Roegner and Moran previously served together on Hudson City Council. Both were elected in 2005. Moran left Council in 2008 when he was elected to the District 42 seat, and Roegner was elected to her second term in 2009. The 42nd Ohio House District includes the cities of Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Munroe Falls, Silver Lake and Stow. Comments
