Hudson Presbyterian hosts potluck dinners On Wednesdays during Lent, the Hudson Presbyterian Church, 201 W. Streetsboro St., will host potluck dinners at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. After dinner children, youth and adults will go their separate ways for a time of study and growth, except on Ash Wednesday Feb. 17, when all will gather for worship at 7:30 p.m. This will be a reflective communion service with imposition of ashes. Make reservations for dinner by calling the church office at 330-650-1626. The church's Adult Bible Study will be on the Apostolic Prayers included in the New Testament Epistles. All are welcome. Destiny Ministry presents: 'Getting Marriage Right' Pastor Joe Propri of the Biblical Counseling Institute will teaching "Getting Marriage Right: Enjoying the Gift of Intimacy" Feb. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class meets at the Destiny Ministry Center, 9241 Ravenna Road C-8 in Twinsburg. The black tie-optional ball will feature Monte Carlo-style games, sideboard raffles, a silent auction, and a live auction boasting items that can't be found anywhere else. New this year are slot machines and a Texas Hold'em Tournament ($200 entry fee with a $1,000 cash prize). Heavy appetizers catered by Moe's Restaurant and wine will add to the evening, which benefits the St. Mary LIFE TEEN Youth Ministry program. The program's goal is to lead teens closer to Christ through the Eucharist, fellowship and faith sharing. The Mardi Gras Gala will help fund retreats, social outings, and service projects. St. Mary hosts Lenten Seafood Dinners The Men's Club of St. Mary Church will begin its Lenten Seafood Dinners Feb. 12 with a "Fat Friday Dinner," featuring regular menu selections, plus a special steak and shrimp entrée.The Friday dinners will continue for six additional weeks, concluding March 26. The dinners are open to the public and are served in the lower hall of St. Mary Church, 340 North Main St. in Hudson. Doors open at 5 p.m.; the last order is taken at 7:30 p.m. Patrons may dine in or carry out.
