Joseph Sr. and Peggy Toth of Akron celebrated their silver wedding anniversary Jan. 2, 2010, with family and a renewal of their vows. Officiating the renewal was the Rev. Galen Wiley, the original minister from their wedding who came with his wife, Elsie, from Lancaster, Pa. Live music was also performed by various members of the Bechtel family and the service was followed by a brunch and silver tea. Joseph Toth Sr. and the former Peggy E. Bechtel were married Jan. 5, 1985, at the Minerva Grace Brethren Church in Minerva. Joseph retired in 1983 as the company photographer for the Ohio Edison Co. where he served for 18 years. He began the Toth Photography business 48 years ago. The business originated in Cuyahoga Falls and moved to Stow in 1987 in the Shoppes of Stow. Peggy is a former art teacher at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and began working at Toth Photography 26 years ago. As the current studio owner of Toth Photography, the business received certification from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council in 2007 and recertification in 2008. The couple have been members of LifeCenter Plus fitness center since 1998. An anniversary trip is planned to the Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center in New York City in the spring. Comments
