Steve and Nancy Gandee of Hilliard announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Gandee, to Charlie Straka, son of Dave and Barb Straka of Hudson.
The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School and a 2009 graduate of Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She is a registered nurse at Cartersville Medical Center in Atlanta.
Her fiancé is a 2003 graduate of Hudson High School and earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 2007 from Ohio State University. He is pursuing a master's degree at Georgia Tech University. He is employed with General Electric in Atlanta.
A September wedding is planned.
