Gertrude M. (nee Rogers) Mayer, 93, an area resident for the last four years and formerly of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died Jan. 11, 2010, at Kensington Care Center in Aurora.
She was born in Grand Gorge, N.Y., on Sept. 8, 1916, the daughter of John D. Rogers and Luella V. Blakesley Rogers.
She is survived by her daughters, Arlene Tuttle of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Phyllis Stephens of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Shirley T. (Peter) Eells of Hudson; son, Emerson (Marie Hurley) Tuttle of Tampa, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora St., Hudson 44236, where a memorial service will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Romito Funeral Home.
