A portion of State Route 8 southbound in Cuyahoga Falls has been reopened, following its closure this morning due to what a police spokesman called “slick” driving conditions.
The spokesperson said several crashes occurred at once around the slight curve before Second Street.
“Every once in a while, when the road’s been bad with snow or ice, we close it down to get it back into driving shape,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added an officer has been injured and he has been transported to the hospital for treatment. Although the spokesperson said he has no details of how the officer was injured, he described the injuries as “non life-threatening.”
