Bob Maher will speak to Hudson Job Search Nov. 2 at Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora St., on "Getting through the Gatekeepers (or around them)."
Sign-in starts at 7:15 p.m., and the meeting starts at 7:30. Maher, president of Patrick Douglas Outplacement, an organization delivering outplacement and career counseling since 1981, will discuss how to get through the human resource department or executive secretary to speak directly with the individual doing the hiring.
The talk will help find out who is making the decisions, and thus the hiring, and how to get an interview.
Hudson Job Search meets the first and third Monday evenings at Christ Episcopal Church. Meetings are free and open to the public.
