Keith Byron Hyser, 50, of Harrisonburg, Va., and formerly of Hudson died June 18, 2009, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. He was born March 4, 1959, in Akron and was a son of the late Raymond "Buck" and Geraldine King Hyser. He worked at Friendship Industries in Harrisonburg. He had worked for Weaver Industries Earthcare Program for 25 years in Tallmadge. He was a member of First Congregational Church of Hudson and attended Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg. He was the manager of the football and basketball teams at Hudson High School for more than 30 years. He is survived by his brother, Raymond "Skip" Hyser (Pam) of Harrisonburg; sister, Heidi Hyser of Comox British Columbia, Canada; niece, Kelsey Hyser; nephews, Marshall and Christopher Hyser, and Alexander and Mackenzie Zirkl; aunt, Betty Mack; and cousin, Connie Minne. The Rev. Sue Ann Schmidt will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. June 26 at First Congregational Church of Hudson. Burial will be at Draper cemetery in Hudson in a private ceremony. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to Earthcare Program, Weaver Industries, 530 S. Main St., Suite 1714, Akron 44311.
