Lois M. Barney (nee Miller), 81, of Hudson, died June 17, 2009, at Hospice Care Center in Copley Township.
She is formerly of Palm Harbor, Fla., and lived at Laurel Lake Retirement Community in Hudson. She was an avid golfer, having won many tournaments over the years.
She was preceded in death by a husband, Ted Barney.
She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Kannen; sons, William (Jody) Kannen of Hudson, Stephen (Madelynn) Kannen of Bowling Green, Ted (Ellen) Kannen of Medina and James Kannen of Vermillion; nine grandchildren; and siblings, Harland Miller of Louisville, Ohio, and Richard Miller of Clearwater, Fla.
Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice Development Foundation, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333. Funeral services were June 23 at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home.
