Hudson resident Owen Miklos helped Team USA capture the 2009 World Youth Team Challenge Championship during a tournament, which concluded June 16 at Bolingbrook Golf Club (Ill.).
The top ranked junior golfers from the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela were assembled into 10 teams and competed in a Ryder Cup team format.
The teams consisted of boys ages 10 to 15 years old and girls ages 11 to 16.
Miklos, a representative of the 10 year old Team USA Central which also included playing partner Russell Matos, ended the event with an overall record of 4-3-1.
