STEVE LOUIS CHEK II 1974 Hudson High graduate

Steve Louis Chek II, of Ravenna, formerly of Hudson, died May 31, 2009, at Robinson Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Chek graduated from Hudson High School in 1974. While he was in high school he worked for a local gas station and the Country Club of Hudson. He played little league baseball and belonged to the 4-H Club. He became a certified expert welder and had worked for many companies in the local area. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed shooting rifles, shotguns and pistols. He was a member of a number gun clubs and a quick draw club. He had a motorcycle and enjoyed riding. He also enjoyed working on cars and had built drag racing cars. He was a member of Western Reserve Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Chek Sr. He is survived by his mother, Bette (nee Loomis) of Hudson; children, Tonya Lamb of Garrettsville, Steve Louis Chek III of Brookpark, and Mandy Stahl of Kent; grandchildren, Dalton, Dillon, Hannah, Joseph and Robert; and sister, Vicki (David) Rarrick.

Services have taken plan. Burial was at Markillie Cemetery. Johnson-Romito Funeral Home handled arrangements.
