Hudson -- Grief counselors have been available for students and teachers in the district since Oct. 10 after the district learned of the death of 16-year-old student Abby Lipply.
"Our crisis team has been working with students and staff and will continue to work with anyone as needed," said Sheryl Sheatzley, district communication manager.
She said Abby died as a result of a "pre-existing medical condition."
Abby Lipply was born in Youngstown June 10, 1992.
Abby is survived by her parents, Lauri Johnson (nee Hoffman) (husband, Paul) and Terry Lipply (wife, Denise); her brothers and sisters, Adam, Jordan, Chris, Matt, Richie, Jennie and Lauren; grandparents, Karen and Gordon Schwarz and Lila Lipply; and many cousins, uncles and aunts.
Her funeral was Oct. 14 at St. Mary Church.
Donations to the family can be made to the Abby Lipply Memorial Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.
