The Hudson City School District will host Dr. Brad Findell, mathematics administrator at the Ohio Department of Education, Sept. 18 as its first speaker in a series of public meetings about preparing students for 21st century skills in mathematics and science.

The meeting will be from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Hudson High School media center.

Findell helps school districts to connect teaching and student learning to state and national standards in mathematics.

Findell has taught elementary, middle school, high school and university level mathematics, primarily focusing on middle and high school mathematics and the development of math teachers.

District seeks math experts for panel

The school district is seeking individuals to serve on a panel of experts for a presentation Sept. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hudson High School.

To participate on this selected panel, e-mail a resume or information to Patty Picard, director of teaching and learning, at picardp@hudson.edu.

The submitted information must include the applicant's name, contact information, current position and demonstrated credentials. In addition, applicants should include, in 300 words or less, why they would like to serve on the panel.
