The Greenhouse ... a fresh flower market will deliver a bouquet of flowers to Charles R. Schilling on behalf of the Hudson Bandstand Committee, who nominated him with the following letter:
"The Hudson Bandstand Inc. Committee wishes to thank Charles R. Schilling, director of maintenance for the Hudson schools, with a floral salute.
"On May 26, when the weather was very uncertain, Chuck Schilling was reached out of Hudson in route to a Memorial Day event and took the time to stop and activate the air conditioning at Hudson High School for Hudson Summer Music Festival's presentation of the HHS jazz bands. He also called Greg Jones, custodian, who came and opened the building on a holiday."
Anyone wishing to nominate a Hudsonite (or someone who works in Hudson) for a floral salute should write a letter of nomination to the Hudson Hub-Times. We request the salute be limited to one person, couple or household. Include the name, address and phone number of the nominee and a brief reason (100 words or less) why the person should be honored. The Hudson Hub-Times reserves the right to edit or withhold "Floral Salutes."
Also include the name and telephone number of the nominator for verification purposes. Anonymity may be requested.
