'Treasure Island' on stage in Cuyahoga Falls Actors'N'Theatre in Cuyahoga Falls will bring the classic story "Treasure Island" to the stage from Aug. 8 through Aug. 23. This is ANTIC's 25th year as a theatre company as well as its 15th year as the resident theatre company in the Quirk Cultural Center. Quirk Cultural Center is at 1201 Grant Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls. Ara Watson's version of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island brings to life Jim Hawkins' thrilling adventure, as reflected upon by his adult self, in search of buried treasure on a distant and mysterious island. This classic coming-of-age story is complete with stolen map, pirates, swashbuckling battles, betrayal, and the infamous Long John Silver. Curtain times are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for students, and $5 for seniors and children under 12. Tickets are available at the door. Young Actors Studio presents the musical production of "Peter Pan" through Aug. 9 at Barlow Community Center, 41 Oviatt St. in Hudson. The cast consists of 36 Young Actors Studio students ages 6 through 18. The production is directed by Elyse Romano, assistant direction, Asha Soulsby, choreographed by Stephanie Kibler and music direction by Dr. Darlene Khoury. BNC in Cleveland opens Sam Shepard play The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company announces the Ohio premier opening of "The God of Hell" by Sam Shepard. "The God of Hell," directed by Chris Johnston, features Jen Klika, Joe Milan, Danny McElhaney, and John Busser. Performances run through Aug. 23 Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m. at The Bang and The Clatter - Sometimes In The Silence...Theatre Company at 224 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland. Cats and dogs reign at Weathervane The Young Actor series will have a double feature -- "Go, Dog. Go!" and "The AristoCats Kids" -- through Aug. 10. In "Go, Dog. Go!" P.D. Eastman's classic children's book comes to life on stage in an exploration of movement, color and space. T In "The AristoCats Kids," based on the Walt Disney animated feature, Madame's jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her Aristokittens and abandons them in the Parisian countryside. What's a cat to do? Luckily Thomas O'Malley and his rag-tag bunch of Alley Cats come to their rescue! Music includes the Disney favorites "The Aristocats," "Scales and Arpeggios" and "Ev'rybody Wants to Be a Cat." Tickets are $10.
