The city of Hudson issued a silver alert Saturday for a 74-year-old male missing from Laurel Lake Retirement Community since Friday morning.
William J. Brown is a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds, bald with blue eyes. He was last seen in the vicinity of Laurel Lake at 10 a.m. Friday. He was wearing a khaki-colored, long sleeve, button down shirt, tan pants, black socks, dark brown leather boat shoes and a wide brimmed hat. If you see Mr. Brown or know of his whereabouts, contact the Hudson Police Department at 330-342-1800.
Ohio introduced the silver alert in late June to help locate missing persons who have a mental impairment or are 65 years or older. The program was integrated into the existing emergency alert program for locating abducted children, known as Amber Alerts.
