Hart wins golf tournamentJuly 20, 2008
Hudson resident Ben Hart won the boys age 12 division with an 8-over-par 79 strokes at a Northern Ohio PGA Kenny Novak qualifier July 15 at Raccoon Hill Golf Club in Kent. Tricia Maloney of Hudson just missed qualifying in the girls 16-through-19 age group with a 8-over-par 79 (38-41). Copley's Heather Arison qualified by winning the tournament with a 6-over-77. Maloney finished in a tie for second. Hudson resident Natalie Sheerer finished ninth (87). Other Hudson residents who competed are as follows: Boys (16-19): J.T. Goodson, tied for third, 74; Sam Scala, eighth, 77; Riley Pratt, three-way tie for 17th, 81; Erick Pringle, five-way tie for 20th, 82; Ricky Schieber, 25th, 83; Matt Roth, three-way tie for 30th, 86; and Michael Steiger, 41st, 93 Boys (13-15): Sean Murphy and Jared Young, tied for fourth, 77; Jackson Stroup, 11th, 80; Brian Ruther, tied for 19th, 83; J.D.
