Akron -- A Hudson resident and former city employee already facing six charges in an obscenity case involving a minor pleaded not guilty July 14 to 10 additional charges.

Herbert David Twiggs, 56, of Ravenna Street, a former equipment operator for Hudson's service department, was arraigned on the additional charges July 14 before Summit County Court of Common Pleas Judge Patricia Cosgrove.

He pleaded not guilty to two second-degree felony counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, and eight second-degree felony counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, according to Laurie Cramer, spokesperson for the Summit County prosecutor's office.

In June, Twiggs pleaded not guilty to two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, fourth-degree felonies, and four counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, fifth-degree felonies, according to court records.

Twiggs is free on a $25,000 bond and must wear a global positioning system tracking device.

Hudson police arrested Twiggs April 23 after two city employees reported finding a "disturbing photo" of a child on his personal cell phone earlier in the month, city officials said. The city terminated his employment April 25.
