Hudson -- For any family who has dreamed of creating a new look, First & Main is sponsoring a makeover contest, "Make Us Over, See Us Change."

The contest is open to any family in Northeast Ohio looking to make healthier choices, said Jamie Williams of MACS, an advertising and printing company promoting the contest.

Three families will be chosen as semi-finalists to receive more than $8,000 in prizes for fitness, food and beauty that are being offered by First & Main businesses, Williams said.

People can follow the contest on WKYC-TV3 and vote for the family who made the most changes and embraced a healthier lifestyle.

Additional prizes valued at nearly $19,000 will be awarded to that grand prize winning family, chosen by voters.

A $250 gift card for First & Main will be awarded in a random drawing to a viewer who voted online or by mail for a family.

The three winning families will appear on the Good Company show on WKYC-TV3 throughout the eight-week process to highlight each family and help people vote for the winner, Williams said.

Also, the three families will have blogs where viewers can read about their experiences, Williams said.

Prizes for three families

Some prizes are limited by number or age of family members.

The three families will receive eight weeks of personal training service from Fitness Together valued at $10,000;

The Inn at Solaire, The WineBar at Solaire and Solaire Salon and Spa will provide haircuts, color, hair extensions, facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and makeup application to the winning families valued at $8,500;

Heinen's is providing four meals per week for the three families and eight cases of water per family valued at $4,000;

Adults in the three families will receive two months of unlimited yoga from Yoga Lounge valued at $900;

San Francisco Oven will provide one family meal per week for each of the three families for eight weeks valued at $1,200.

Each family will receive a basic set of herbs and spices and in-home cooking class using spices for healthy eating from Heather's Heat and Flavor valued at $600; and

The Shoe Gallery will provide each adult with a pair of Earth Athletic Shoes valued at $800.

Grand prizes

The winning family, chosen by voters, will win a gourmet dinner and overnight stay at the Inn of Solaire valued at $1,500,

Orthodontic care for one family member, $500 discount for up to four other family members and teeth whitening for those over 16 will be provided by Dr. John White valued at $10,000;

Two adults will win six months of unlimited yoga at the Yoga Lounge valued at $1,300;

Jake's Good Life will provide $1,000 in apparel to outfit the winning family;

Fastframe will photograph and frame a family portrait for the winners valued at $1,000;

A spice collection and one-year refills will be provided by Heather's Heat and Flavor valued at $500;

The Vue will provide a Sunday buffet brunch and romantic four-course dinner for two including wine valued at $500;

A complimentary home consultation and $400 gift certificate will be provided by The Greenhouse valued at $600;

Nicky Nicole will give $500 for a back to school shopping spree;

The winning family will receive 100 custom holiday cards from Post Net valued at $500;

The mother will receive three hours of in home fall wardrobe consultation from In Style Accessories valued at $375;

Snip Its Haircut for Kids is providing a glamour party for six girls; haircut book of eight haircuts and basket of products valued at $350;

The winning family will receive a garden gate from Coldwater Creek valued at $300;

Uniquely Ohio will provide one pair of Ohio State University home football game tickets for the OSU vs Troy University game Sept. 20 valued at $200;

A birthday cake for each family member up to six will be provided by Cold Stone Creamery valued at $180;

Chico's will provide a $50 gift card plus a personal wardrobe party for a winner and guest to coordinate, accessorize and build a wardrobe with 10 percent off purchases plus $25 discount on party purchase valued at $100; and

The winning family will receive two $25 gift cards from JoS. A Banks Clothiers valued at $50.
