Shipwrecks discussed

Authors Georgann and Mike Wachter will describe their adventures diving and investigating the "Shipwrecks of Lake Erie" May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Library and Historical Society.

What started as a hobby for this husband and wife diving team has evolved into a full-time job investigating the myths and realities behind the thousands of shipwrecks scattered all over the Great Lakes.

The Wachters, who have been diving all over the world, say the best preserved shipwrecks can be found in the fresh waters of the Great Lakes.

They have written five books on the subject and numerous magazine articles.
