The Hudson Community Foundation is seeking community partners in its effort to endow the Hudson fireworks. To date, the foundation has raised $56,000, but additional funds are needed for the program to be self-funding for years to come. "We are profoundly grateful for the generous corporate support we've received so far for the fireworks fund. These companies are truly owed a debt of gratitude from the public," said HCF President James Hackney. "The ultimate goal, however, is to endow the fund so this community-cherished event can be self sustaining." Hudson Community Foundation is asking businesses and residents to contribute. There are four levels of corporate donations -- Rocket, Rising Star, Luminary and Grand Finale, which requires a five-year commitment.
