Girls win sixth straight matchMay 4, 2008
The Hudson girls lacrosse team improved to 14-1 with a 5-2 victory over Gates Mills Hawken April 29. Elizabeth Baglieri had two goals and two assists and Mackenzie Parsons, Abbey Mackessy and Cassie Hammer each had one for the Lady Explorers, who won their sixth straight match. Parsons also picked up seven ground balls and caused one turnover and Mackessy picked up a ground ball and added a draw control and a caused turnover. Baglieri now has 45 goals and 14 assists. Parsons got her team-leading 54th goal of the season. Maria Kreighbaum led the defense with two ground balls, two caused turnovers and one interception and Mallory Vehar had two stick checks, seven ground balls and two caused turnovers. Hudson goalkeeper Jaqui Gemberling made three saves in the nets.
