Kathleen L. (nee Lewis) Yoder, 57, a 15-year resident of Hudson, died April 28, 2008, at Akron General Health and Wellness Center North in Stow.
She was born Dec. 9, 1950 in Downey, Calif.
She was a registered nurse working at Hillcrest Hospital as a childbirth educator since 1994 and most recently was the manager of childbirth education. She enjoyed providing Doula services for expecting mothers. Her passions were gardening, tennis and helping new mothers and fathers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Leila Lewis (nee Paxman), and her sister, Beverly Hollowell. She is survived by her father, Dr. Eric Lewis of Downey, Calif.; her husband, Cletus D. Yoder of Hudson; daughters, Stephanie (Chris) Hottel of Columbus, Sherry Yoder of Chicago and Mary Yoder of Cuyahoga Falls; sisters, Shirley (Dan) Marshman of Downey, Calif., and Nancy (Tom) Jewell of Fountain Valley, Calif.; and brother, Dr. Eric A. Lewis of Tarzana, Calif.
A memorial service was May 2.
