Chefs up for
The lineup of chefs has been announced for this year's Hail to the Chefs event May 31 at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Library and Historical Society. Hail to the Chefs is a gala, semi-formal affair to preview some of the chefs at this year's Taste of Hudson. The lineup will feature the following chefs and restaurants: * Emilio Nunez, Emilio's Restaurant and Lounge; * Roger Thomas, Piatto Novo; * Rick Carson, Vue Restaurant and Lounge; * Heinz Yee, Otani; * Paul Iannaggi, D'Angelo's Italian Ristorante; * Aaron Ruggles, Bistro On Main; * Don Bitter, Old Whedon Grill; * Andrew Jackson, Taste of Laurel Lake; and * John, JJ and Kevin Altomare and Robb Perez, Hudson's Restaurant on the Green. The event will begin at 7 p.m. with an outdoors wine tasting under a tent featuring several wines. Attendees will be treated to the sounds of pianist Jim Henning. At 8 p.m., the chefs will showcase some of the foods they will serve at Taste of Hudson, while guests enjoy tunes from the Dallas Coffey Jazz Trio. Hail to the Chefs, like Taste of Hudson, will benefit the Safe Kids Coalition of Summit County. Tickets are $100 each and available by advance reservation only. Ticket information is available at
