The May edition of Good Day in Hudson features Terri Kent, artistic director of Kent State University's Porthouse Theatre, and Minnie Wagner, co-founder of Leo's Reserve Inn Restaurant. The Hudson PTA's Reflections Art Reception will be shown, recognizing the 85 students who entered. Teachers of the arts and the 2008 Outstanding Child Advocate are commended. HHS freshman Yusuf Hylton taped the program. The Northern Summit County mayoral press conference, announcing the efforts to attract a hospital to Seasons Road, will be shown this week. Akron General Health Report features Dr. Aaron Lear and Dr. Scott Fulton. The Rotary Club of Hudson presents Kathie Franks, board president of Actors' Summit theater. The City Club of Cleveland presents The Honorable Michael Wilson, Canadian ambassador to the United States, talking about "The Future of the Canada-U.S. Border in the Global Economy." The May edition of Our Town will begin airing Thursday evening and will feature Tony Bales, Trent Wash, Tom Munn, and Mayor William Currin. Starting Thursday, Hudsonite Miles Richardson provides a program of classical music. To celebrate spring, several past programs of the Hudson Garden Club will be shown this week including talks about shade gardens, rain gardens, organic vineyards, silver plants, organic lawn care, dwarf conifers and cottage gardens.
