Hasson, Nees wed in ceremony

Katherine Elizabeth Hasson and David Timothy Nees were united in marriage Dec, 28, 2007, at Hudson Community Chapel. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Joseph Coffey.

The bride is the daughter of James and Carolyn Hasson of Bloomfield, Conn. The bridegroom is the son of Frank and Pamela Nees of Hudson.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a cream colored floor length taffeta gown with taupe accents. The bride's fingertip veil of illusion complemented the lace accents on the sweetheart neckline of her gown.

The bride carried a bouquet of white roses.

Elizabeth Short of Omaha, Neb., was maid of honor. Also attending the bride were the bridegroom's sister, Kristen McCort of Silver Lake, and friends of the bride, Laura Thomas and Christine Pfister of Hudson, Sarah Kirkwood of Mayfield Heights, Kerrie Notman of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Jennifer Chamberlain of Littleton, Colo. Abigail and Hannah Van Drunen of Hudson were flower girls.

Bridesmaids wore gowns of taupe taffeta and carried bouquets of red and cream roses.

The bridegroom's brother-in-law, Brian McCort of Silver Lake, was best man. Serving as groomsmen were the bridegroom's brother-in-law, Benjamin Smith of Huntington Woods, Mich., the bride's brothers, Daniel Hasson and Henry Hasson of Grand Rapids, Mich., and friends of the bridegroom, Joel Gilliland of Hudson, David P. Myers of Akron and Dwayne Hagerman of Fort Wayne, Ind. The bridegroom's nephew, Ty McCort of Silver Lake, was the ring bearer.

The bridegroom's sister, Kimberly Smith of Huntington Woods, Mich., gave the readings for the ceremony. Carolyn Wheatley of Winchester, Mass., attended the guest book.

Special guests included the bride's grandmother, Patricia Cunningham of Bethesda, Md., and the bridegroom's grandfather, James Garmon of Hudson.

Following the ceremony, a reception was at the Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson.

The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at LeFevers in Cuyahoga Falls.

The bride and bridegroom are both graduates of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. The bride is a graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich. The bridegroom is a graduate of Taylor University in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Following a honeymoon trip to Paris, the couple is making their home in San Jose, Calif., where they are both teachers at Valley Christian High School.
