Local arts education program Reach Out and Dance® will perform May 13 at 12:45 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Falls High School auditorium, with the theme "Outstanding History in Ohio."

This show is open to the public.

This Ohio history-themed show highlights important people and events from Ohio's past.

This is ROAD's 10th-year anniversary of bringing dance to Northeastern Ohio children. Reach Out and Dance® is a non-profit youth outreach program serving more than 1,100 area elementary students. Professionally trained dance instructors and a live accompanist provide weekly in-school dance classes for fourth and fifth grade students at participating Akron (Edge Academy, Portage Path, Case, and Lawndale Elementary) and Cuyahoga Falls (Preston, Price, Lincoln, Richardson, DeWitt, and Silver Lake Elementary) public schools.

In addition to weekly dance classes, Reach Out and Dance® gives area students the opportunity to attend several local ballets, provides a curriculum-based field trip, awards dance scholarships to select students, and fulfills the Ohio Department of Education Arts and Culture requirement for the fourth and fifth grades.

For details, contact ROAD® artistic director Kara Stewart at 330-524-6697 or e-mail Kara4Road@aol.com.
