Church plans groundbreaking
On May 4, Rejoice Lutheran Church will have a groundbreaking ceremony in anticipation of building a new church in Hudson.
The ceremony will take place on church property located at 7855 Stow Road, just north of Middleton Road. It will start at approximately noon.
After the church's 10:30 a.m. worship service, church members will proceed to the site.
The church worships at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School at the corner of Stow and Middleton Roads, adjacent to the property.
Financial seminar to focus on estates
The Laurel Lake Foundation will present a Money Matters seminar, "Estate Planning -- Beyond the Basics," April 21 and 28 from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. at Laurel Lake Retirement Community, 200 Laurel Lake Drive in Hudson.
Participants will learn about tax efficient ways to use IRAs, the value of bloodline trusts and other current topics.
