Marvin and Nancy Nicholson of Dresden, Ohio announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Joane Nicholson, to Oliver Anthony Corrigan, the son of Niall and Anne Corrigan of Hudson.
The bride-elect was home schooled. She is a 2005 graduate of Franciscan University, where she received a degree in early childhood education.
She is employed as a resource specialist at The Coming Home Network in Dresden.
Her fiancé is a 1999 graduate of Hudson High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Akron, where he received a degree in theater arts and is studying secondary education.
He is employed as a World War II researcher and cataloger at the University of Akron archives in Akron.
The couple plans to wed in August in St. Thomas Aquianas Catholic Church, Zanesville.
