Ann Maher, 81, of Holmes Beach, Fla., formerly of Hudson, died March 31, 2008.

A 31-year resident of Anna Maria Island, Mrs. Maher was a volunteer with Selby Gardens in Sarasota, the Holmes Beach Chamber of Commerce and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Holmes Beach. She was an accomplished quilter, knitter and gardener.

She is survived by her husband, Dick Maher of Holmes Beach; daughters, Suzanne Reed of Silverthorne, Colo., Kathleen Bergen of Bradenton, Fla., Marianne Wilson of Aspen, Colo., and Patricia Maher of Stow; sons, Michael Maher of Hudson and Chris Maher of Aspen, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.
