PATRICIA CATHERINE JOHNSTON (RANDOL) / Volunteered at Cleveland Art MuseumApril 9, 2008
Patricia Catherine Johnston (Randol), 84, of Bellevue, Wash., formerly of Hudson, died March 26, 2008. She was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Vandergrift, Pa., to Harold and Hazel Skemp. She was valedictorian of her senior class, graduated from Vassar College in 1945 and received a master's degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in 1948. She was married to Harold Johnston from 1948 to 1978 and raised a family with him, living primarily in Dayton and Hudson. She was married to Frank Randol from 1986 until his death in 2006. She worked in the medical and health fields and belonged to many social service and arts organizations. She loved to walk on the beach in Rhode Island with family and friends, bike the back roads of Northeast Ohio, volunteer at the Cleveland Art Museum, and spend summer evenings at Blossom Music Center enjoying food, wine and good friends while listening to the Cleveland Orchestra. She enjoyed reading, gardening, international travel and exploring new recipes in her kitchen. Ms. Johnston is survived by her sons, Jeff (Debra) Johnston of Nixa, Mo., Kevin (Betsy) Johnston of Seattle; grandchildren, Joel, Calder and Madeline Johnston; and sister, Joanne Bullinger of Wilton, Conn.
