"Why spiritual healing is crucial" is the title of a lecture to be given April 13 at the Hudson Library and Historical Society.
The speaker is Ron Ballard from Ashland Ore.
He is a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science and a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship of The First Church Christ Scientist, Boston.
Ballard graduated with a degree in political science from Claremont McKenna College in California.
Ballard entered the full-time healing ministry of Christian Science almost 40 years ago.
He is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
Ballard has spoken in hospices, hospitals, health expos, interfaith conferences, domestic and foreign policy organizations, youth organizations, conferences and college symposiums.
In his talk, he references the Bible and "Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
He will discuss ideas on what constitutes healing, focusing on the need for spiritual regeneration and development, and the benefits of moving beyond physical care to spiritual restoration and well-being.
