HUDSON -- Councilman Alex Kelemen hosts the Spring Ward 3 Forum May 31 at 7 p.m. at the Barlow Community Center.
The Ward 3 Forum is an informal "townhall-style" meeting for questions, comments or suggestions, and unlike Council meetings or workshops, there is an opportunity for dialogue and discussion. Assistant City Manager Frank Comeriato is also scheduled to attend.
While there will be discussion on developments in Ward 3, residents from throughout the city are welcome to attend and question or comment on any issue relating to Hudson.
The Hudson City Schools will be hosting a Community Forum regarding their Master Facilities Plan from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in an adjacent room at Barlow. "This a great opportunity to learn about the schools building plans, and then drop in on the Ward Forum and discuss any city concerns.
"Residents are welcome to come anytime and stay as long as they like at the Ward Forum," Councilman Kelemen said.
There are many possible topics for discussion. Under consideration by City Council is downtown Phase 2 development and traffic, relocation of the City Hall and service garage, emergency dispatch options, expanding broadband service, trail and sidewalk plans, the ongoing dispute with Akron over water service, and code enforcement issues.
"The residents decide the discussion topics. We get an interesting group with many good questions and comments," Kelemen said. "Some residents like to attend just to hear what their neighbors are saying."
