Destination Hudson is issuing a final call for old Hudson photographs for possible inclusion in a "Then and Now" book. All proceeds for the sale of the book will help support the Hudson Visitor Center. The 19th or 20th century photos should portray physical sites within Hudson, or community events .
Photographic images should be submitted to the Hudson Visitor Center, Town Hall, 27 E. Main St. Photos can be dropped-off during Visitor Center hours, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. weekdays , or noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Photos can also be mailed to the Visitor Center or submitted electronically to Liz Murphy at email@example.com.
Photos should include details, such as the year taken and a brief description of what is portrayed. Submissions should also include the submitter's contact information so that photos can be returned.
"Photos to be included in the book will be selected on a juried basis," according to Ron Stolle, Destination Hudson's President. "The community's response to the book project has been really good," Stolle explained. For consideration, submitted photos must be received by May 15, since the selection process is expected to be finalized by the end of May.
