Hudson City Council Legislative lowdown for April 4.

City Council members Beth Bigham, President Hal DeSaussure, Dennis Hanink, Alex Kelemen, Casey Weinstein, Dan Williams and William Wooldredge approved the following legislation at the April 4, 2017, regular Council meeting.

A resolution thanking Jennifer Barone for her service to the Hudson community for her dedicated service as a member of the Planning Commission from Aug. 20, 2003 through Jan. 1, 2017.

A resolution honoring Barbara Breedon VanBlarcum for 20 years of service with the city of Hudson.

Proclamation for "Lemonade Day" Month from April 29 through May 31, which is a national initiative to educate youth on how to start, own and operate their own business, using a lemonade stand to teach fundamental lessons about life, success, and giving back to community.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into a purchase agreement with Romtec Buildings for $59,343 for building materials necessary for the construction and replacement of a pavilion at Hudson Spring Park for park operations; and declaring an emergency.

A resolution affirming the city manager's acceptance of a Safety Intervention Grant of $34,801 from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation on behalf of the city's Emergency Medical Service and authorizing the city manager to enter into an agreement for the purchase of a power ambulance cot and power cot loading system for $55,295; and declaring an emergency.

A resolution authorizing the city manager's designee to apply for funding from the Ohio Department of

Transportation through the Traffic Records Coordinating Committee on behalf of the Hudson Police Department to benefit the Summit Metro Crash Response Team.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to terminate a current 7-year agreement and to enter into a new 5-year agreement with PNC Equipment Finance LLC for leasing of 70 new golf carts for the Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course for $57,750 per year; and declaring an emergency.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to terminate a current agreement and to enter into a new agreement with Lake Erie golf cars LLC for the supply, maintenance, and repair of new golf carts for the Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course; and declaring an emergency.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to advertise for bids and enter into a contract for the repainting of 475 fire hydrants on the Akron water system in Hudson with the lowest and best bidder; and declaring an emergency.

A resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a change order for $24,605 in additional costs for emergency repair work to the contract with the Ohio Drilling Company for 2017 water well maintenance and repairs; and declaring an emergency.

A resolution to approve $7,600 to Bourgeois Enterprise Inc. for house demolition on Norton Road.

An ordinance amending chapter 1211 "Growth Management Residential Development Allocation" of the Land Development Code in its entirety and would implement the Growth Management system only when certain growth factors are exceeded.

An ordinance repealing section 204.01, "City Flag," of the codified ordinances designating an official flag for the City of Hudson.
