How wonderful it is when a young child has a teacher who really cares and goes above and beyond to make their first learning experience a joyful one.
For the 100s of children who attended KinderCare on Darrow Road, this was the case. Their teacher Judy Turk was much more than an educator. She had been with KinderCare for over 19 years. She had a tough no-nonsense exterior but a heart of gold.
Sadly Ms. Judy passed away on Feb. 12. She will be missed more than words can express. The staff at the KinderCare on Darrow Road is planning a dedication ceremony for Ms. Judy.
Any child under her care learned not only the ABCs, they learned patience, self-worth, independence and the joy of learning.
Ms. Judy was active in every aspect of our school; curriculum specialist, bus driver, school age, pre-kindergarten, and learning adventure teacher. No matter the task she was given, she gave it 110 percent.
If anyone has questions and would like to attend the dedication ceremony, contact Kindercare Center Director Kate Bodzenski at 330-656-2737.
As Ms. Judy would say "Who's ready to learn and have fun?"
