The Hudson Hawks Organization and the Hudson Chapter of the Special Olympics will sponsor the 9th Annual Challenger Football Game Aug. 9 .
The game will highlight those special athletes from the Hudson Chapter Special Olympics organization in a football game to showcase their love for the game and their special athletic talents. Last year's event was a great success. The community came out in full force and saw some great football by some very special athletes. Many special guests from the City of Hudson, radio and TV personalities and former pro athletes from the Cleveland Browns contribute to this very special event.
The game will be at The Scott Malson Memorial Field near the Hudson Middle School, starting at 4 p.m. (gathering of the community, athletes and guests starts at 3 p.m.). The game will last approximately one hour. There will be food and refreshments. Also attending will be the city officials for the City of Hudson, celebrities, the Hudson High cheerleaders, the Hudson High School football players, the Hudson High School Marching Band, as well as other special guests.
Following the event, the fun will continue at Sidelines Sports Bar, 5893 Akron Cleveland Road, Hudson. Come out to show commitment for these special athletes from the Special Olympics.
Also, donations will be accepted at the gate on behalf of the Hudson Chapter of the Special Olympics and all proceeds go directly to the Hudson Chapter of the Special Olympics.
Any questions, or if there is a special individual who is not part of the Hudson Chapter of the Special Olympics, call Mark Guadagni at 330-653-9515. All special athletes are welcome.
