Summit County weekly traffic advisory for June 21

State Street in the City of Barberton
(Monday, June 23 – until further notice)
Beginning Monday, June 23, State St. between Wooster Rd. and Elmwood Ave. will have various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing. This work is the beginning of a $300,000 project to resurface State St. between Wooster Rd. and Elmwood Ave. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late August 2014.
 
State Route 8 in the City of Stow
(Friday, June 20 – Saturday, June 21)
The following ramp closures will remain in place through Saturday, June 21 at 6 a.m.
·         SR 8 southbound exit ramp to Graham Rd. The detour is Steels Corners Rd. to Hudson Dr. to Graham Rd.
·         The entrance ramp from westbound Graham Rd. to SR 8 southbound. The detour is SR 8 northbound to Steels Corners Rd. to SR 8 southbound.

Graham Rd. over SR 8 is reduced to one lane in each direction through late August while the City of Stow replaces concrete pavement in the area. For more information please contact the City of Stow Engineering Department at (330) 689-2719.
 
State Route 21 in the Village of Richfield & Richfield Township
(until further notice)
SR 21 between I-77 and the Cuyahoga County line has various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing. This work is the beginning of a $1 million project to resurface and make pavement repairs to SR 21 between I-77 and the Cuyahoga County line. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late August2014.
 
State Route 59 (Akron Innerbelt) in the City of Akron

(Friday, June 20 – Tuesday, June 24)
Beginning on Friday, June 20, at 6 p.m., and continuing through Tuesday, June 24 at 6 a.m. SR 261 westbound over SR 59 will be closed. The detour will be Dart Ave. to Euclid Ave. to Raymond St.
(Wednesday, June 25 – Thursday, June 26)
Beginning Wednesday evening, June 25 at 7 p.m. the Mill St. exit ramp from westbound Rand St. will be closed through Thursday morning, June 26 at 6 a.m. The detour will be Rand St. to SR 261 to I-77.
(Tuesday, July 1 – Wednesday, July 2)
Beginning Tuesday evening, July 1, at 7 p.m. the Mill St. exit ramp from westbound Rand St. will be closed through Wednesday morning, July 2, at 6 a.m. The detour will be Rand St. to SR 261 to I-77.

SR 59(Akron Innerbelt) eastbound and westbound between I-76 and N. Main St. has various lane restrictions for roadway resurfacing. This work is part of a $6.9 million project to resurface SR 59 from I-76 to E. Market St. and make repairs to 21 bridges. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by September 2014.

Interstate 77 in the City of Akron
(Friday, June 20 – Saturday, June 21)
LaFollette St. over I-77 is closed through Saturday evening June 21, for bridge repairs. The detour iseastbound: Burkhardt St. to Lovers Lane to Hammel St., westbound: Hammel St. to Lovers Lane to Brown St.
(Monday, June 23 – Thursday, June 26)
Beginning Monday, June 23, Cole Ave. over I-77 will be closed through Thursday evening June 26, for bridge repairs. The detour will be westbound: Coventry St. to Lovers Lane to Burkhardt St.., eastbound: Burkhardt St. to Archwood Ave. to Coventry St.

I-77 northbound and southbound  between Waterloo Rd. and the Central Interchange has the following nightly lane restrictions for paving operations:
·         From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., I-77 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction
·         From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., I-77 will be reduced to one lane in each direction
This work is part of a $4.4 million project to resurface I-77 from Waterloo Rd. to the Central Interchange the project also includes repairs to 16 bridges. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2014.

State Road in the City of Cuyahoga Falls

(until further notice)
State Rd. northbound between Cochran Rd. and Graham Rd will have daily lane closures for roadway widening. This work is part of an $8.4 million project to widen State Rd. from Graham Rd. to Quick Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by July 2015.
 
State Route 8 and I-271 in the City of Macedonia
(until further notice)
The ramp from SR 8 northbound to I-271 northbound has various lane restrictions for noise wall installation. This work is part of a $5 million project to place noise walls at the SR 8 and I-271 interchange. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2014.
 
I-76 in the City of Norton
(until further notice)
Summit Rd. over I-76 is currently closed through early July. The detour is Barber Rd. to Norton Ave. to Wooster Rd. This work is part of a $3.7 million project to replace the Summit Rd. and Clark Mill Rd. bridges over I-76. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2014.
 
Interstate 271 in Richfield Village & Richfield Township
(until further notice)
The following traffic restrictions are in place:
·         SR 176/Broadview Rd. over I-271 is closed through early September for a bridge replacement. The detour is Brecksville Rd. and SR 303.
·         SR 303 over I-271 is restricted to one lane in each direction for bridge work through early December.
·         Motorists traveling on I-271 northbound between I-77 and the Ohio Turnpike should be aware of a bi-directional traffic pattern. Although two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction on I-271, northbound, traffic is split, with one lane of northbound traffic crossed over onto I-271 southbound, while the second lane remains on I-271 northbound.  
This work is part of a $46.4 million project to reconstruct the pavement along I-271 from Broadview Rd. to the Ohio Turnpike. Then entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2017.
