Hudson City Council legislative lowdown for June 4, 2014

Council members present: Hal DeSaussure, David Basil, Dennis Hanink, Alex Kelemen, Dan Williams and William Wooldredge.

Council member absent: Keith Smith.

A proclamation recognizing the celebration of Hudson Festival Days, June 12-13, 2014.

Approved 6-0

A resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into an agreement with Randstad Inc. for temporary staffing in the public works department not to exceed $25,000; and declaring an emergency.

An ordinance establishing the residential development Annual Growth Managemenat Allocation at 125 for the 2014-2015 annual allocation period under section 1211.07 of the codified ordinances.

Approved 6-0

A resolution authorizing the city manager to enter into a Job Creation Grant Agreement with Yxlon International for the establishment of their operations in Hudson; and declaring an emergency.

Approved 5-0 David Basil recused.

An ordinance authorizing the execution of an energy purchase power supply schedule with American Municipal

Power Inc. so AMP can purchase power from third party suppliers at a negotiated price to meet the remaining power requirements for the city and keep costs as competitive as possible.

Approved 6-0

A resolution to create a steering committee to update the comprehensive plan. The city is accepting applications for six residents to participate in the committee.
