Hail to the Chefs Gala shines spotlight on local culinary talent

Hudson - Tickets are on sale for Hail to the Chefs, one of Hudson's most delicious fund-raising parties. The fantastic food-focused event will benefit Akron Children's Hospital School Health Services and will take place May 30 from 7 to 11 p.m. at Lake Forest Country Club in Hudson.

Hail to the Chefs co-chairs Carrie Gynn and Stephanie Lallement, and honorary co-chairs Shawn Lyden and Kathy Chadwick-Koke, present an exciting event to showcase Hudson's culinary scene and raise support for the work of Akron Children's Hospital in the community. Delicious foods, dancing, live music by ContraBand, raffles and auctions are all part of the evening, which will be hosted by favorite local media personality Joe Cronauer.

The star attraction of Hail to the Chefs is always the food, artfully presented by chefs of popular Hudson restaurants and other local establishments. Many of the participating restaurants will present items that are not seen on their regular menus, or will add a unique twist or element of surprise to their dish.

The luscious line up of menu items includes:

Volcano Roll, Alaska Roll, and Tuna Tacos, presented by Otani Restaurant and Pub

Artichoke D'Agnese and Smoked Salmon-wrapped Asparagus, from Tomato Grill

Sushi "shots," prepared by Rosewood Grill

Fava Bean Hummus with Crostini and Pickled Mushrooms, presented by One Red Door

Shrimp and Scallion Pancakes with Mint and Cilantro Dipping Sauce, by Laurel Lake

Lebanese Salata with Quinoa, Chicken Mishwi and Jasmine Rice, by Aladdin's Eatery.

Taquitos De Pollo, with pico de gallo and guacamole, from Luchita's

Pear Chutney Bruschetta w' Pecans & Gorgonzola by Hudson's Restaurant

Foraged Mushroom and Wild Ramp Pierogis, presented by Nosh Eatery

For those who enjoy Hudson's dining scene, Hail to the Chefs is the must-attend party of the year. The annual benefit also serves as a preview to Hudson's signature end-of-summer festival, Taste of Hudson.
